Why Quooker?

In recent years, we have seen an increasing demand for Quooker boiling water taps since the start of the pandemic, as customers are now spending more time at home. Quooker taps dispense water as and when you need, saving you time, energy and and money in the long run compared to standard kettle - making it the most efficient and sustainable option on the market designed to suit any kitchen. With regards to sustainability, you can conserve water and energy and with a CUBE, you help to reduce the use of disposable plastic bottles that will end up in our waters. What's more, it's easy to maintain and typically lasts between fifteen and twenty years.

How does a Quooker work?

A Quooker consists of two parts: a boiling-water tap on top of the worktop and a small tank underneath. Quooker’s patented vacuum tank allows for water to be kept at 110 degrees under pressure. This technology keeps the water hot without needing to use much energy. Think of it as an electrically powered flask, from which no energy can escape from – so it is not constantly boiling. In the long run, this will save you money on your energy bills.

You can choose from a number of different tanks which are extremely economical thanks to their excellent insulation. The Quooker COMBI tank even has an Energy label A. It not only supplies boiling water, but also cold water. Unlike the kettle, there is no reason to re-boil your water when it has cooled down. This wastes a lot of energy.

What are the Quooker running costs like?

It’s been said that water taps can contribute an average of 60% of your household energy bill. The cost of boiling water in a full kettle is about two and half pence per boil. In comparison, the cost of using a Quooker tap is said to be three pence per day (one penny per litre).

Are Quooker taps safe to use?

Quooker taps has many safety features; the most important to our customers was the childproof handle which requires two presses down and a twist to operate. When the boiling water is in use a lamp will light up so you are aware that the water will be hot. The boiling water delivered via the tap will flow in a aerated spray rather than a jet to prevent scalding.

How much does a Quooker tap cost?

Prices depend on the style and finish (polished chrome, stainless steel, black, patinated brass and gold) as well as, any additional add-ons you may choose.

• Quooker PRO3 - holds 3 litres of instant boiling water with prices starting from £950
• Quooker PRO7 - holds 7 litres of boiling hot water with prices starting from £1220
• COMBI - The COMBI holds instant boiling and hot water with prices starting from £1200.
• CUBE - Costs £1150 with CUBE a pack of 4 CO2 cylinders and CUBE filters being sold at £70 each.

Any additional add-ons range from £50 for a Cold Water Filter Cartridge to £380 for Gold Nordic Soap Dispenser.

Quooker tanks all have the patented high-vacuum insulation, which keeps the water at the right temperature in an energy-efficient manner. The stand-by consumption is as little as three pence a day. The maintenance costs of a Quooker are low compared with the boiling-water taps of other brands. In most cases, you only need to replace the HiTAC® filter once every five years.
