About Us

Our History

Established in 1790, Edwards & Godding Ltd. has been a family-run company for three generations. Originally ironmongers based in Newbury, Berkshire, we sold domestic hardware goods and even manufactured a late 19th century village water pump that still stands today in Chapel Street, Thatcham.

Our History

AGA

In 1932 we became one of the five original AGA distributors in the UK, selling our first AGA cooker to the High Sheriff of Berkshire, Captain Geoffrey Herbert Palmer of Woolhampton Court, in January of that year. We've sold AGA cookers every year ever since. Today, we create beautiful bespoke kitchens and supply the very best range cookers, refrigeration, kitchen appliances and accessories on the market to both retail and trade customers from our two showrooms in Reading and Woodstock.
